Spa Esthetician

 

Job Overview

 

Mandeville Spa & Wellness Resort is a new player in the wellness market located in Hatfield, Manchester. We are seeking to engage an Esthetician to offer signature treatments to our discerning mid aged clientele. You’ll be the heart of the client experience and the first interaction with clients as they walk through the door. If you have the relevant experience, and passion for service and are excited to be part of a winning team then this position is for you.

Our Spa Esthetician will be responsible for providing services related to skin appearance such as facial and body skincare to our guests/clients. Other treatments will include facial massages, body massages, pedicures/manicures and waxing procedures. They will also be in charge of the general maintenance and cleaning of the Spa rooms and all staff-only areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Welcoming guests to the spa and answering the telephone as needed
  • Assess the client’s skin condition, appearance and other characteristics the advise the client about skin care in general but specific to their age group after which they’ll be advised how to care for problem areas
  • Have consultations with clients on the best treatment options
  • Provide facial and other skin care treatments with products provided ONLY by Mandeville Spa and Wellness Resort
  • Apply skincare products to the clients
  • Explain services to clients
  • Train new employees
  • Schedule, cancel and adjust client schedule as needed
  • Become familiar with all aspects of the Spa Software
  • Recommend skincare products to clients
  • Recommend a daily routine to clients
  • Pitch clients on upgraded services
  • Remove body and facial hairs
  • Tint eyelashes and eyebrows
  • Collect laundry from housekeeping and fold it away when time allows
  • Ensure that all products are restocked and caddies replenished on a daily basis or as needed
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the spa
  • Perform support duties for other staff

 

Qualifications for Esthetician

 

  • Diploma or Certificate from a reputable school/organization

Massage Therapist, or Massage Practitioner

 

Job Overview

 

This individual will be responsible for providing relaxation or treating body pain and discomfort through physical touch and moving a client’s muscles. Their duties include meeting with clients to determine the type of massage they need, creating a relaxing ambience and kneading or rubbing muscles to release tension.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

A massage therapist is responsible for treating clients through soft tissue manipulation while maintaining a safe and relaxing experience. The therapist should be good at perceiving clients’ wishes and needs through spoken language, body language and other cues and modifying their treatments accordingly

This person will report directly to the owner of the resort.

Specific duties will include but not be limited to:

 

  • Provide 30-60 minute massages to clients by appointment, guide clients through service offerings and determine which massages would benefit them most
  • Take a detailed client history and note any health conditions
  • Evaluate clients to determine painful or stressed areas of the body
  • Able to administer these basic massages: Swedish, hot stone, deep tissue, aromatherapy and lymphatic drainage
  • Advise clients on stretching, strengthening or relaxation methods
  • Suggest future massage appointments and regimes to clients
  • Listen to clients during appointments and adjust technique as they desire

Spa Receptionist

 

The Spa Front Desk Receptionist’s responsibilities include greeting all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding spa services and products, booking all appointments, checking the guest into the computer system and charging for services performed. Additionally, the Front Desk Representative assists with periodic cleaning of the spa and relaxation area.

Main Job Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Be on time for a shift and maintain a consistent, regular attendance record
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the Spa is opened and closed each
  • Accurately book, change and cancel spa appointments
  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the spa
  • Ensure that the check-in, check-out and payment process is handled in accordance with the company
    policy
  • Provide callers and guests with detailed descriptions of spa treatments, packages, services, and hours of operation
  • Utilize spa computers with skill and proficiency; document guest information in electronic record as directed
  • Answer the phone promptly and use the guest’s name throughout the phone conversation; operate the phone system accurately and efficiently
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available
  • Maintain eye contact when addressing external and internal guests; develop a professional and personalized relationship with regular guests
  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with company policy
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment; inform management when stock is low
  • Must be able to work without constant direct supervision

Key Responsibilities

 

Following standards and procedures to provide timely, accurate, and friendly service by:

  • Ensuring the opening checklist is completed and that the pool bar is prepared for opening
  • Communicating to the team about the beverage specials
  • Observing customers as they enter the pool bar and assure they are greeted promptly and properly
  • Monitoring and observing guests’ dining experience, ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service
  • Responding promptly and courteously to any requests
  • Being available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant and pool bar
  • Taking beverage orders from guests

Lead Chef

 

Job Overview

With our eyes set on becoming one of Jamaica’s leading spa and wellness destinations, we are seeking to attract an extremely creative commercial cook who is able to design healthy yet appealing and tasty dishes for our mid-aged to senior citizen guests.

In the capacity of Lead Chef, this individual will create and standardize recipes, establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus; ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and ensure proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen. He will also oversee the catering functions and operations of the conference centre kitchen.

Essentially the candidate must be able to run a profitable kitchen by ordering an accurate amount of supplies and reducing waste and pilferage. He must have the ability to manage the other persons on the kitchen team such as dishwashers and bartenders.

Although the executive chef is mostly behind the scenes to the guest, it is an added benefit to the hotel, if the executive chef is a personality that can be marketed and in their own right become part of the attraction to the restaurant.

Our ideal Hotel Housekeeper has a keen eye for detail while handling vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sweeping duties. Our entire staff compliment is vested in providing outstanding hospitality to our guests, and your housekeeping services are a significant part of this. Candidates with prior cleaning experience are preferred, but we are willing to train hardworking people who are team players.

 

Hotel Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Clean and tidied up hotel rooms, hallways, lobby, common areas, spa, pool bar, pool side and restaurant
  • Dust, wipe and polish various surfaces and furniture
  • Sweep and mop floors by applying pressure and not simply glazing the mop over the floor
  • Empty trash bins on a daily basis
  • Change linens and towels and replace toiletries
  • Provide laundry services for guests if required
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping team to complete the daily cleaning schedule
